• What are your session rates?

Initial Session (60 min): $134 (includes a $4 processing fee when paying by Credit/Debit Card)

Individual Session (60 min): $134 (includes a $4 processing fee when paying by Credit/Debit Card)

PTSD Assessments: (4 60 min sessions) (Intake Session, Individual Session, Testing Session, and Feedback/Discussion Session) $484 (includes a $4 processing fee when paying by Credit/Debit Card)

Treatment Letters: $80/hour (charged in 15 min increments) ** A minimum of 1 week's notice is required for completion of paperwork. "Rush" requests are honored, but are billed at $125/hour (charged in 15 min increments).

Payment is due at time of service. Typically, clients pay using the client portal you’ll have access to. However, you can also use Square, PayPal, Venmo. I also accept Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) [also known as "Out Of Network”] as payment. If you are using FSA/HSA, please notify me, and I will provide you with a "Superbill" ("Oh, SUPER! A bill!!"- said no one EVER!). *NOTE: Make sure you check with your insurance company first to ensure that you have coverage for FSA or HSA for counseling services. They most likely reimburse you for a portion of your therapy fee, but maybe not all of it. I'll provide you with the information you need to file it on your own to seek reimbursement. Remember that filing out of network will still require me to assign you a diagnosis.

  • Do you take insurance?

I'm now accepting insurance and am currently in-network with the following plans in these states:

    • TN, KY, GA, & FL- Optum (Click to see entire Optum Listing), Aetna (Click to see entire Aetna listing) .

    • At this time, I am still Private Pay for residents of SC

    • I still accept Private Pay for those of you who would prefer to go that route. Reasons for that choice include:

      • I won’t be forced to “Label you” with a diagnosis that may end up a permanent part of your health record.

      • Your records will be protected, which means that no information about you can be obtained by the insurance company. This can be a concern for folx who don’t want employers, etc finding out about any mental health treatment- which is often an issue for active duty service members, law enforcement, firefighters, or those of you who may have a security clearance for example.

“Is it cheaper to use insurance or pay out of pocket?” It’s pretty much the same, actually. My rates for either choice are within $5-$10 of each other.

  • What's your cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your appointment either by accessing the client portal, or by contacting me via email. If you’re running late or have to cancel last-minute because “Life happens”, I understand- you can text me in those cases and we can reschedule. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or do not show up for your appointment after 10 minutes, you will be billed for the full rate of the session.

  • How do we meet for sessions?

Our appointments will be via a HIPAA Secure Telehealth platform through SimplePractice. If you use a desktop or laptop computer, all you’ll have to do is click on the link in the appointment reminder email you receive. If you use your phone, you’ll have to download the Free App “Telehealth by SimplePractice”. Please make sure you do this prior to the appointment so there’s no last-minute difficulty with access.

Once you’re a client, you’ll be sent an email link to access the client portal where you’ll take care of some needed paperwork (It’s pretty quick and painless- I promise!). Once you submit those items, you’ll automatically be allowed access to my client portal where you can see my availability, self-schedule/cancel/reschedule your appointments, and contact me via secure messaging. *If you try to schedule an appointment with less that 24hrs notice, the system will require you to call/text me first

  • What's the first session like?

First sessions last approximately 60 minutes. The first half is when we review all of the initial paperwork you fill out prior to the appointment, as well as some history taking involving what it is you would like to work on, family history, etc. That helps give me a more clear picture of what you're still dealing with, and "where you are coming from" so to speak- and that means it's going to help both of us in the long run. The second half of the intake session is just a little more conversation and less formal feeling as I'm getting to know you better and helping to identify some goals before we really dig into the nitty gritty of things during following sessions.

  • What are your hours?

My hours are Mon-Thu, 8AM-5PM EST (meaning- the last appointment slot is at 4PM, ending at 5PM). Clients will have access to my calendar on the client portal to see my availability and to self-schedule their appointments. If there are extenuating circumstances, I have limited flexibility so if that’s something you need let's have that conversation and we can see what some possible options are.
