Online Therapy- Is it for you?

My online therapy approach is the same as my in-person approach. Being in 2 separate locations won't keep us from being able to work together so you can get where you want to and make the changes you need. I see some people  using Telehealth that used to be in-person and they actually prefer it. No more driving to an office across town or 1-2 towns away. No more dealing with traffic, or sweating childcare, hell… you’ve heard it before I’m sure- you can sit there in PJ bottoms and a clean shirt and do the work! You can actually be out running errands or whatever, pull over in a safe, private spot and be there for your online counseling appointment, then continue on with your day. You get to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I offer exclusively online therapy services. Because of COVID-19, online therapy has become a way of life for us, and many other things we do in our daily lives are totally virtual/online. I also know some folks are still a little skeptical. Maybe you’re not sure about the process because you’ve never had to do it before. Or you’ve had a Telehealth appointment before and it was a shitty experience because of technology issues or because your provider left you feeling like they weren’t paying attention to you. I get it, because I was the same way for many years. Whenever I was in a meeting and the subject of online counseling or Telehealth came up, I had one of two reactions-

1. Internal debate in my head thinking “This is bullshit! Why are they wasting my time?!”, or 2. Me raising my hand and going on a 5-minute rant about how it was the worst idea ever. But now that I've been doing this online for over 2 years and have been certified in Telemental Health Services by the Telehealth Certification Institute, LLC I realize it's virtually (no pun intended!) identical. The biggest difference is instead of just 1 state, I can provide online therapy to clients in 5 states. Currently I'm fully licensed to practice online therapy in  Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

It's an exciting time for me, because I'm able to help someone struggling with the effects of trauma in Jacksonville, FL. Or having a hard time with anger in Nashville, TN. Living in Louisville, KY and dealing with anxiety? Not sure how to overcome depression and located in Atlanta, GA? Reach out to me. In Charleston, SC and the spouse or family member of someone who needs a therapist who understands what you're dealing with? Email or call. Whether it's Clarksville, TN, or Lexington, KY.
